# Plans, billing and cancelling > products.ai chat is free, and you can ask as much as you like. Beast mode, a deeper answer for big purchases, costs $15 a month, or $10 a month billed yearly. This page describes billing and cancelling as they work once payment opens. The [Terms](https://products.ai/terms) are the binding version. products.ai chat is free: sign in and ask Pius Bot as much as you like. Beast mode, where Pius searches far more shops and sources and takes up to 3 minutes for a more thorough answer, costs $15 a month, or $10 a month billed yearly ($120 a year). Using products.ai in your AI or in your own product is by request, under a separate agreement. ## Which plan fits you? There are four ways to use products.ai. If you ship software to other people, In your product is the one built for that. ### Free or Beast mode? A free answer usually comes within half a minute and suits most questions. In Beast mode Pius searches far more shops and sources, reads reviews and forums like Reddit, and weighs many more products against each other, so an answer can take up to 3 minutes. Our view: stay on Free for everyday questions, and switch on Beast mode for a TV, a laptop, a washing machine, or a choice between models that look the same on paper. [What Beast mode does](https://products.ai#pricing) shows it side by side. ### Fair use For normal use there is no limit on the chat, free or in Beast mode. Every question does cost us something: we search shops and sources for you. When an account asks far more in 24 hours than a person does, the way a script would, we pause it for 24 hours. Your earlier chats stay readable, and if you think it is wrong, [let us know](https://products.ai/contact?topic=product). ### Monthly or yearly? Beast mode costs $120 a year, which is $10 a month. Twelve months at $15 would cost $180, so yearly saves you $60. Pick monthly if you're researching one or two big purchases, and yearly if you'd use Beast mode every few weeks anyway. ## How do you get Beast mode now? Payment isn't open yet. Choose **Request Beast mode** under [pricing](https://products.ai#pricing) and sign in. We see your request and switch Beast mode on for you by hand until payment opens. ## How does billing work? The free chat has no billing at all. Once payment opens, you pay for each Beast mode period in advance: a month at a time on the monthly plan, a year at a time on the yearly plan. A payment provider handles the payment itself. We name it on the site and in the Terms before payment opens, and its own terms apply to the payment. Prices can change for future periods. If that happens, the Terms explain how we tell you and what you can do if you don't agree. ## How do renewal and cancelling work? Beast mode renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time. - **Cancelling stops Beast mode from renewing.** You don't need a reason, and the free chat stays. - **What happens to the rest of a paid period** depends on your plan, monthly or yearly. Section 9 of the [Terms](https://products.ai/terms) sets out both, including how to cancel. Closing your account is a separate question from cancelling Beast mode. What happens to your questions and conversation history is covered in [Privacy and data](https://products.ai/docs/privacy-and-data). ## Can you get your money back after you subscribe? If you're a consumer in the European Union, yes. You can withdraw from a Beast mode subscription within 14 days without giving a reason, and the 14 days start on the day you subscribe. Section 10 of the [Terms](https://products.ai/terms) explains how to withdraw and how the refund is worked out. ## How is access in your AI or your product billed? Through its own agreement, not through Beast mode. Access to products.ai in your AI (MCP) or in your product (API or MCP) is by request. 1. Request access through the [access form](https://products.ai#access), or email api@products.ai. 2. A person in Amsterdam reads every request. 3. Pricing is by request, and the terms for that access are in the agreement. Where that agreement and the consumer Terms differ, the agreement applies to that access.
