Pius Bot finds local shops in 20 countries, in 11 currencies, across 448 connected merchants. It puts shops in your country first and shows prices in your currency, because where to buy in Amsterdam is a different question from where to buy in Toronto: different shops, different stock, different delivery.

## How does Pius Bot know which country you're in?

Tell it. Say where you want the product delivered, such as "delivered in Canada" or "I live in Sweden", and your country becomes part of your brief. Pius then puts that country's shops first.

To see which country Pius used, look at **Local coverage** under Shops in the sidebar. In the headphones example it read "NL first · DE + BE checked": Dutch shops came first, and shops in Germany and Belgium were checked too. If the country is wrong, correct it in a follow-up. Tips for phrasing are in [Write a question Pius Bot can answer well](https://products.ai/docs/ask-a-good-question).

## What happens with shops abroad?

They come after the shops in your country, because a local shop usually delivers sooner and a return stays in the country. You can still buy from a shop abroad: ask for it in your question or a follow-up, and check its delivery time before you order.

If you'd like to buy from a shop abroad, weigh three things:

- **Returns.** Sending a parcel back to another country usually costs more and takes longer than a local return.
- **Customs.** When a parcel crosses a customs border, import VAT or duties can come on top of the price.
- **Your rights.** Between EU countries, the basics go with you: a 14-day right to cancel most online purchases and a legal guarantee of at least two years on goods. Across other borders, check what the shop itself promises.

How Pius Bot picks the shop is in [Where to buy](https://products.ai/docs/where-to-buy).

## Is your country coming?

More countries are coming soon. Until then, the table above is the full list of countries where Pius Bot finds local shops, and the [FAQ](https://products.ai#faq) keeps the same list.
